About Sammamish FC
Building our city's first representative soccer club through community engagement, professional development, and inclusive opportunities for all players.
Our Story
Sammamish FC, founded in 2024, is the first ever representative soccer club in Sammamish. Sammamish has long proven a fertile ground for talent, with numerous players advancing to collegiate and even professional levels. The club aimed to create a competitive men's program that would allow local players to represent themselves and their city on a national stage.
Soccer is the fastest growing sport in the United States, and the Pacific Northwest is at the forefront of the movement. We believe that Sammamish deserves a hyperlocal club where soccer players and supporters can connect, build community, and create memories together amongst our beautiful scenery.
Our first initiative as a club was to provide our community with accessible, friendly, and competitive Open Field sessions throughout the Summer of 2024. Sammamish FC Open Fields first took place on July 5th, 2024. Throughout Summer 2024 and 2025, Sammamish FC hosted 20 Open Field sessions for local players. These sessions connected the Sammamish soccer community with the club and each other, with many receiving dozens of attendees.
In August 2025, Sammamish FC announced their participation in the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) for the upcoming Fall 2025 Season. Sammamish FC joined Division 1 in the Washington State Bracket, becoming an inaugural member of the newly established division in our region.
The club ultimately aims to operate on an academy model, meaning that Sammamish FC will establish youth and reserve teams which will provide a proven, effective, and structured pathway to the Sammamish FC first teams (men & women) and beyond.
Sammamish FC played their first friendly match against Strangers United GSSL Reserves on August 7th, 2025, running out as 6-3 winners. Preseason started for the UPSL squad in mid-August.
Sammamish FC kicked off their competitive history on September 13th, 2025 with a 4-1 win against United Sports II.
